Main accountabilities and responsibilities:
You will play a key part in enhancing and optimising manufacturing processes, key responsibilities include:
- Process Design & Control duties within an SMT setting.
- Supporting new product and process development projects.
- Managing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers for all products.
- Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives, focusing on material flow optimisation, waste reduction, and the Visual Factory.
- Driving continuous improvement projects to improve product quality and reduce cycle times.
- Maintaining departmental documentation and standards.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ISO compliance and other initiatives.
- Collaborating with personnel at all levels to gain expertise in products and processes.
Must have:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Will consider qualified by experience.
- Proven manufacturing experience in Process Design and Control Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 6S, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement.
- Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) beneficial but will consider experienced Process Engineers from other sectors.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Working hours:
You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 07:45-16:15 and Friday, 07:45-13:15.
Please note this role will be site based.
