Warehousing and Stock Controller

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with experience in warehousing and stock control? Our client is seeking a talented Warehousing and Stock Controller to join their team. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a thriving organisation. Responsibilities:

Evaluate the skills and competences of the stores team
Prioritise and schedule workloads effectively
Collaborate with senior stores operative to identify training needs
Implement and manage changes to improve processes
Act as a key user for SAP and labelling systems
Ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste materials
Oversee warehouses and storage bays on-site
Manage offsite stock effectively

Maintain and improve safety, quality, and environmental performance:

Support the Operations team in meeting regulatory requirements
Investigate incidents and near misses, using Root Cause Analysis to implement corrective actions
Safely operate FLTs and coordinate with service providers
Ensure compliance with transport/ADR regulations
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and risk assessments
Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance with quality policies and procedures
Ensure proper functioning of warehouse, loading, and canning equipment
Manage third-party transport contractors on-site

Lead and drive continuous improvement:

Lead the performance development review process and monitor KPIs
Motivate the team to identify and implement process improvements
Establish and maintain high housekeeping standards in all storage locations

Qualifications:

Previous experience in Root Cause Analysis is advantageous
Knowledge/experience of ISO90001 or equivalent quality standard
NEBOSH certification
IMDG/IATA qualification
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in IT, including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
