About The Role
At OCS Group, we are recruiting for a Furniture Porters VOX, who will be responsible for the delivery of all furniture requirements and support the FM Support Manager in completing daily tasks relating to the operation of the whole furniture set up.
You will be working on a variable shift, 07:00 to 23:00, on a casual basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health & Safety, & personal hygiene
- To set all venue furniture to the plan issued for each event, ensuring all furniture is in perfect condition.
- To ensure company provided uniform is kept clean & tidy and is always worn whilst at work. Identity badge must always worn & visible
- Ensure all services are delivered safely in line with all OCS operating standards, reporting all accidents & dangerous occurrences to your supervisor
- Respond to standard and occasionally nonstandard requests from internal clients and suppliers
- Ensure for the upkeep, storage, and maintenance of all on site furniture
- Monitor & record breakages
- Checking and maintaining all areas of responsibility
- Maintain high level of cleanliness in all back of house areas & furniture store
- Communicate regularly with colleagues through formal & informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas, & that morale remains high.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use own initiative & confident to make quick decisions
- Computer literacy & good knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
- Self-Motivated attitude, who can also motivate others
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
