As a QC / Quality Laboratory Coordinator you will deputise in managing the work within the laboratory for a global organisation to ensure the tasks are completed and support technicians. As laboratory quality (QC) coordinator you will manage the quality process - planning and supervising the lab work, testing raw materials, plating for tests, quality checks on flasks, vessels, after packing and shelf life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the quality control process for all products manufactured.
  • Provide direction to the QC team to accomplish daily goals with an emphasis on the customer and key stakeholders, promoting the company's safety and quality approach to ensure our products, people and environment are kept safe.
  • Ensure efficient and timely hands on testing of all raw material, final product, in-process control, packaging and effluent batches. Monitoring trends in data and reporting any issues directly to Quality Management.
  • Assist Quality Manager in the maintenance of the Quality Management System as required.
  • Reporting and managing of data on trends or certain batches declining if applicable, product quality and comms.
  • Writing SOP and risk assessments.

Qualifications and Skills.

  • Background in Biological sciences, or Microbiology Bioengineering, Bioprocess engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology.
  • Lab experience is key, or industry in production environments such as brewing, food beverage, pharma - anywhere it would be sterile.
  • Experience in a similar role, including experience in implementing or managing / supervising ISO 9001:2015 systems and procedures. (Experience in ISO 9001:2015 audits desirable).
  • Knowledge and experience of Aseptic techniques - keeping things sterile, not introducing contaminations.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly in a time target pressured environment without close supervision.
  • Deputise in managing the work within the lab to ensure the tasks are completed and support technicians.
  • Manage the quality process - planning supervising, testing raw materials, , plating for tests, quality checks on flasks, vessels, after packing and shelf life.
  • Following written procedures, safety compliance and demonstrating good attention to detail.
  • Reporting and managing of data on trends or certain batches declining if applicable, product quality and comms.
  • Writing SOP and risk assessments.
  • Computer literacy is essential (MS Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, advanced Excel) and experience with SAP or similar business software would also be advantageous
