Location: Warwick/Hybrid

Duration: 6 months initially

The role:

To increase the commercial and procurement capability within the programme, to assist project teams in their dealings with suppliers during procurement events and also assist projects in their supplier management.

Responsibilities:

  • To represent and guide projects through procurement and commercial related activities.
  • To aid project teams when undertaking OJEU procurement events, liaising with procurement
  • To aid project teams when undertaking non-OJEU procurement against existing frameworks
  • To ensure delivery contracts and SOWs are setup appropriately for the project/programme to deliver on its success criteria.
  • To assist the projects in managing supplier relationships
  • To assist the projects in ensuring suppliers adhere to the terms of the agreements.
  • To assist the projects in minimising avoidable, overspend and CE's with suppliers.
  • To be a point of review and guidance on any changes to existing support and/or delivery agreements in place
  • To ensure that the project PDSA are effectively implemented alongside any existing PDSAs the business already has in place.
  • Develop and report on KPI / KRI around contract performance.
  • Single Point of Contact for the business as escalation point on contractor performance.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union) procurement
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding
