A fast paced, progressive, financial services organisation, is looking for graduate with a Law degree to support their Legal Advisor providing general counsel to the Group.
A key focus will be on ensuring that the relationships with their suppliers and stakeholders are properly documented, and that contracts are up to date. The Legal Assistant will also work closely with the compliance department to prepare the company for GDPR.
Based in Slough with some hybrid working offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and drafting of contracts;
- Review of advertisements to ensure they are compliant with FCA rules;
- Assistance to the customer complaints team by providing advice on consumer law issues;
- Representing the legal department at project meetings;
- Liaising with external counsel;
- Reviewing customer contracts;
- Provide legal updates to management and staff;
- Administrative duties will include ensuring that contract repository is kept up to date;
- Company secretarial administration assistance;
- Assisting HR in employment law queries.
Skills/Experience
- Qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive;
- Law Degree is essential;
