Junior Civil Engineer

Job Description: As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, design, and execution of installation projects. You will work closely with their experienced engineering team, focusing on ground works, site surveys, flood risk assessments, and other essential tasks to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to assess the suitability of locations for infrastructure installation.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of ground works designs, including excavation, trenching, and foundation work.
  • Analyse flood charts and other environmental data to evaluate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop detailed plans and schedules for site preparation and construction activities.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports, design documents, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Participate in on-site inspections and provide engineering input during the construction phase of projects.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies as needed to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly in ground works, site surveys, and environmental assessments.
  • Familiarity with flood risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience with infrastructure projects or similar civil engineering works.
  • Understanding of local and national regulations related to construction and environmental impact.
