Overview of a Front of House Assistant:
Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Front of House Assistant join an expanding team. The role of a Front of House Assistant a competitive pay rate of £ 13.46per hour, increasing in line with Harrow Council Pay Scale increments. Other benefits include, accruing up to 28 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to apply for any internal permanent roles within Harrow Council.
The Main Purpose of a Front of House Assistant:
- To support the Duty Manager at events thereby ensuring highest standards of public safety and customer satisfaction for clients.
- Support any access needs relating to people attending events.
- Support Duty Manager in providing immediate resolution to client queries and requests whilst ensuring our Terms & Conditions are adhered to.
- Assist in any changes of layout during events according to the event plan
- Ensure standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the event and the venue is properly cleaned at the end of the event
- Work to the Front of House Duty Manager to ensure all aspects of health and safety within the performance space and Backstage Bar are adhered to.
- Assist with clearing up of the venue, after clients and guests have left the premises.
- "Assist the Front of House Duty Manager in the safe evacuation of the performance venue (members of the public and staff) in cases of an emergency during an event or show.
- Ensure all requirements of the venue's Premises Licence are adhered to throughout the event, including legal requirements regarding the sale of alcohol
- Assist in closing and securing the venue at the end of the event when required
About you, the successful Front of House Assistant will have:
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment and dealing effectively with diverse clientele
- Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety requirements of performance, conference and function venues and basic food hygiene principals.
- Have the ability to regularly lift and move loads safely - including moving bar stock and equipment.
- Must be able to commit to shifts from 4:00pm - 10:00pm
