As our next Manager, Advanced Procurement, you must possess a vibrant and motivating personality, adept at building connections across all levels. You will be a dynamic and proactive leader in the realm of Upstream Innovation and Technology Procurement. A self-starter with a flair for creativity and a resilient mindset, capable of bringing order to a brand-new organisational framework.
Your task will be to harmonise Procurement and Research and Development innovation efforts with corporate goals. You will be an integral part of the Procurement Programme team, collaborating closely with Advanced Procurement Director, and engaging daily with the Aston Martin Research and Development Innovation hub.
To thrive in this position, you must exude energy and inspiration, with the ability to communicate effortlessly at all levels. You will be a dynamic and proactive Manager in the field of Upstream Innovation and Technology Procurement. A self-starter with a creative mind and a resilient attitude, capable of instilling structure into a completely fresh organisational setup.
This role is far from the typical Procurement Manager position. You will be at the forefront of coordinating innovation-focused procurement strategies, fostering collaboration with Research and Development teams, and ensuring that technology roadmaps are in line with business objectives.
The Key Requirements...
- Experience in co-ordinating the development and implementation of commodity technology roadmaps into tangible procurement strategies in an automotive environment.
- Large amount of cross functional experience working on innovation, coming across different commodities especially powertrain and body.
- Experience in managing procurement budgets and technology investment costs with the cost engineering function
- Experience in tracking and reporting on procurement performance metrics.
- Relevant experience in continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
