We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Equipment Manufacturer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with a mechanical bias towards fabrication and engineering. This role is crucial for someone with a deep understanding of oven testing processes, especially airflow, and experience in pneumatics and NDT testing.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design and draft detailed mechanical plans using 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks for NDT equipment.
- Engage in mechanical design tasks with an emphasis on fabrication and engineering for NDT applications.
- Conduct and interpret NDT testing, with a keen understanding of oven testing and airflow.
- Collaborate with the team to manage a robust pipeline of projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and innovative design solutions.
- Uphold the company's strong culture of teamwork and contribute positively to the work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience with 2D AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- A mechanical engineering background with a strong inclination towards fabrication.
- Knowledgeable in pneumatics and NDT testing.
- Familiarity with oven testing processes, especially airflow.
- Experience in delivering high-quality finishes within the fabrication industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a positive company culture.
