Our global law firm client are currently looking for a new Information Governance Manager (CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, IGP, Information Governance) to join their global team on a permanent basis. Our client are a very social, driven and professional firm with one of the best environments in the sector. This role is aiming to find an Information Governance professional who will join their global team (based in the US) and will hold responsibility for London & EMEA & collaborate very closely with Risk & IT and ensure any new policies are implemented with buy in from the business.

To be considered for this Information Governance Manager (CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, IGP, Information Governance) role, it's ideal you have:

  • Ideally 7 Years within Information Governance
  • Relevant qualificaitons for Information Governance (IGP), CIPM. CIPP/E, CIPP/US
  • Ideal but not required law firm or professional services experience

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Global Director of Information Governance, establishes and implements a successful Information Governance Program that ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, financial and operational recordkeeping requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership and partners with firm stakeholders to support the program globally, assess needs, identify gaps or areas of improvement, and recommend changes.
  • Assists with the development, application and maintenance of information governance polices, standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Reviews, recommends, and proposes changes to information governance policies, processes, technology solutions, and training to ensure support for and compliance with the Firm's Information Governance Program.
  • Works with the Information Technology Department to support information governance program goals and objectives, including data remediation projects and identify opportunities for process automation and technology solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to promote and increase DMS usage, security and compliance across the Firm.
  • Assists firm management, lawyers and business services staff in identifying and containing risks relating to data protection and data privacy.
  • Assists with developing and implementing strategic communications to engage, educate and influence lawyers and staff about information governance policies and procedures.
  • Audits information governance and records management processes, including firm approved repositories for accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
  • Provides policy and procedural guidance related to the management and disposition of client and firm administrative records.
  • Stays current with leading industry best practices and new developments in information governance and records management. Participates in continuing education, research, networking, and professional and industry organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet firm goals and objectives
