HR & Recruitment Assistant

We are working with an established cleaning company, and they are recruiting for an HR & Recruitment Coordinator / Assistant to join the business.

Hybrid role - 4 days office (or on site) and 1 day working home, with flexibility to manage your own diary.

This role would be ideal for a seasoned HR Administrator / HR Assistant who has experience managing recruitment, supporting with day-to-day advisory matters and supporting with ER cases. There is excellent opportunity to develop and take on more responsibility, with progression opportunities of moving into a HR Advisor role.

Reporting into the HR Manager, the role will focus on supporting the business with high volume and wide range of ER cases and assisting with recruitment. The role is 60% HR & ER focused and 40% recruitment. Key responsibilities and duties include;

  • Reporting into the HR Manager, working as part of a team of 7 people
  • The role is 60% ER focused and 40% recruitment
  • Support the business with day-to-day HR advisory matters, including assisting with ER cases
  • Dealing with queries from managers and providing advice and guidance
  • Supporting the HR Advisor with grievances, disciplinaries, long term sick, absence management, performance management etc
  • Managing some ER cases from start to finish
  • Dealing with HR administration, including outcome letters, updating employee records and administration around ER cases.
  • Lead and support with high volume recruitment, including liaising with agencies, managing SLA's and relationships
  • Managing the HR & Recruitment inbox, dealing with any queries
  • Posting adverts, reviewing JD's, shortlisting CV's, organising and attending interviews and managing the recruitment process
  • Sending out offer letters and organising onboarding packs
  • Supporting the HR manager and HR Advisors with various HR projects, including HR systems, restructures, and L&D initiatives
  • Dealing with Ad hoc HR areas that may arise

For this role candidates will need to have proven experience supporting with ER cases and hold previous recruitment experience. Candidates will ideally have exposure working in an industry that is predominantly a blue-collar client group.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
