Finance Officer 6month FTC

Are you a dedicated Finance professional looking to utilise your skills in a fantastic maternity cover contract? We have registered a fantastic Fixed Term Contract with one of our most prestigious and sought-after clients. You will be primarily responsible for purchase/sales ledger and will also have the opportunity to contribute to other work in the team.
If you are AAT qualified, have dedicated Purchase/Sales ledger and accounts management experience, apply today! You will be tasked with ensuring the accurate, efficient and timely processing of accounting transactions.

Please note this is a fully office-based 6month contract in the centre of Oxford, to start by mid-July until the end of January 2025.

Finance Officer (6month FTC) Responsibilities

As the Finance Officer (6month FTC) some of your duties will include:

  • Purchase Ledger – management of invoices, VAT codes, cost reporting, grant tracking, credit card transactions and BACs payments
  • Sales Ledger – accurately raising invoices, conducting reconciliations, and credit control
  • Accounting – Management of accounts for various subsidiaries, maintaining stock records and reconciliations of donations.

This client is a prestigious Oxford educational organisation, with a hardworking but friendly finance team. There is no onsite parking due to the central location.

Finance Officer (6month FTC) Experience

The successful candidate for this role will be AAT qualified, and also be able to demonstrate:

  • 3 years' experience in Accounting, with good knowledge of VAT, Purchase and Sales Ledgers.
  • Organised, with good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Flexible in working approach
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
