An exciting opportunity has emerged for a mid-senior level Technology Lawyer to join a global financial services market infrastructure provider based in London. This position offers hybrid working with two days a week in office (Canary Wharf) and three days working from home along with flexible work hours on offer. You will be qualified to practice in the UK and have UK working experience, either gained in private practice or in-house.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with a broad range of commercial and technology matters, including 'frontier technologies' such as DLT/digital assets or artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing legal risks, monitoring global regulatory changes, and developing relationships with global regulators.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality legal advice and support across a broad range of commercial and technology matters. You will be responsible for advising on commercial technology contracts, monitoring global regulatory changes, drafting letters relevant to regulatory changes, preparing legal opinions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating complex legal landscapes, mitigating risks, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
- Provide legal analysis and support in relation to all aspects of the system, products, and technology infrastructure related matters.
- Advise on a broad range of commercial technology contracts entered into by the company.
- Assist with monitoring of global regulatory change and payments industry initiatives relevant to the system.
- Work across divisions to draft and contribute to letters and consultations relevant to regulatory and legal change.
- Provide assistance with the preparation and review of the company's legal opinions.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the company.
