Exciting new opportunity to join an incredible, new Children's Residential Care Home, under the guidance of an award-winning Director. These homes are built on a foundation of excellence, aiming to raise the standard of care. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Manager who is committed to making a meaningful impact in Children's Care.

The Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the children's residential home. You will ensure that high standards of care are maintained, promoting the well-being and development of each child. This role requires a strong leader who is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people in care:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring it functions in line with current legislation, regulatory frameworks, and the home's Statement of Purpose.
  • Strive for excellence by working towards achieving a ‘Good' or ‘Outstanding' rating from Ofsted.
  • Lead and support the staff team, providing regular supervision, monitoring staff performance, and arranging necessary training.
  • Stay fully informed of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, safeguarding practices, the Children Act, and other relevant legal and organisational policies.
  • Address and rectify any issues raised in inspection reports and Regulation 44 reports within the specified timeframes.
  • Prepare detailed written reports for various reviews, case conferences, and meetings. Ensure that agreed actions from these meetings are implemented accordingly.

Leadership and Recruitment:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction for the residential home and its staff.
  • Take charge of recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Safeguard and promote the well-being of children and young people in your care.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of care, addressing the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs of the residents at all times.
  • Cultivate a supportive and nurturing environment where each young person's unique needs are understood and met.
  • Promote the holistic development of young people, ensuring their educational, physical, and emotional well-being is supported.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: £50,000 - £65,000 per year

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts; Monday to Friday, daytime hours
Location: Sellindge, Ashford, Kent: Candidates must be able to reliably commute or be prepared to relocate before starting.

License/Certification: A valid driving license is preferred.
