ReBuildYouth Resolution Mentor

RSR Justice are currently looking for a ReBuildYouth Resolution Mentor on behalf of St Giles Trust (SGT).

ReBuildYouth's proposal is to develop interventions promoting preventative approaches, utilising SGT's highly regarded Peer Advice Service.

This is a full time, FTC position until August 2025 based in HMP Werrington and offers a salary of £27,000 - £28,500 (experience dependant)

Main Duties:

  • Work with allocated learners to produce realistic assessment plans in accordance with Awarding Organisation's requirements
  • Provide one to one support to learners as appropriate and monitor their progress towards timely completion and certification
  • Assess learners using a range of assessment methods appropriate for the vocational qualification assessment criteria
  • Assist in preparing for OFSTED and other quality assurance assessments or inspections, including completion of an annual team self-assessment report and quality improvement plan
  • Support local community projects with advertising, recruiting, and facilitating ROTLS

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of assessing vocational qualifications to adults facing disadvantage and ability to support people who have multiple and complex needs (A)
  • Experience of working to targets and recording information and statistics to enable effective monitoring of performance against targets
  • Thorough understanding of the importance of quality assurance as it relates to assessing
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the issues faced by our client group, in particular barriers faced by people with lived in experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Strong belief in the ability of people to turn their lives around

You will be required to undergo HMPPS vetting in order to undertake this role. Vetting can take up to six weeks to be processed.
