Technical Support Officer

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Technical Support Officer to join our client's technical team in the Merseyside area.

Responsibilities

  • Support the introduction of new and amended products, including the provision of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labels, and artwork.

Qualifications

  • BTEC or Degree in a Scientific or related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience, ideally within the medical devices industry.

Duties

  • Product Safety Data Sheets: Prepare and issue SDS for internal and external customers.

  • COSHH Assessments: Create raw material and product Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.

  • Customer Shipper Label System Coordination:

  • Liaise with customers to confirm requirements.

  • Generate and seek timely approval for shipper labels to meet production needs.

  • Maintain the shipper label database.

  • Customer Product Costings: Prepare costings by collaborating with the New Product Manager and Purchasing team to gather necessary information.

  • Technical Documentation: Assist with various technical documentation needs (e.g., product specifications, batch manufacturing records, customer material declarations, etc.).

  • Product Artwork Coordination:

  • Liaise with customers to ensure they have the necessary information and templates to create artwork.

  • Receive and file customer artwork and allocate internal component codes.

  • Coordinate with component suppliers to ensure information flow.

  • Manage regulatory approval processes with the client.

  • Ensure timely approval of artwork.

  • Provide customer support through to project completion.

This role is ideal for candidates who can work both independently and as part of a team. The Technical Support Officer should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, and proficiency in computer literacy. The candidates should also have excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and clients at all levels.
