Financial Accountant Inverclyde Competitive Salary + Benefits
Lusona is supporting our client in the service sector based in Inverclyde to source suitable applicants for the post of Financial Accountant. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented finance professional to play a key role in the company's success. As a professionally qualified accountant, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations to empower the leadership team.
What you will do:
- Assist in the year end audit and corporation tax statutory reporting.
- Production of insightful weekly and monthly management information to external audit level quality.
- Ensure VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax compliance across all group operating companies.
- Review the integrity of all group company balance sheet control account reconciliations.
- Work closely with the Group Financial Controller to introduce and improve internal control procedures.
- Partner with cross functional teams to develop and implement cost saving initiatives.
- Assist in the budgeting and reforecasting exercises.
- Analyse financial data using financial ratios, trend analysis and other techniques to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with the Group Financial Controller to update and document the consolidation process.
What you will bring:
- Professional qualification - ACCA, CIMA or ICAS
- Full awareness of all current accounting standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams with an advanced working knowledge of excel spreadsheets.
- The ability to work equally well on own initiative or as part of a wider team.
- Ability to produce work of the highest quality with an eye for attention to detail.
