We are looking for passionate and dedicated Midwives to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary professional team to provide excellent care for women and their families across South England.
Job Summary:
This role may also involve working with the Obstetric team in consultant-led Antenatal clinics and the Day Assessment Unit. The job involves a fast pace of decision-making, autonomous practice with medical cover when required, and in-depth knowledge of a wide range of antenatal complications and core midwifery assessment skills in Triage.
Description:
The post holder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
Midwifery care is provided in hospital, birth centre, and community settings, including the management of individual caseloads, clients, and/or ward areas.
The role is multidimensional and requires the post holder to integrate and fulfil all the identified dimensions.
Requirements:
- Valid NMC registration as a Midwife.
- Knowledge of current evidence-based midwifery practice.
- Ability to demonstrate competence in fetal monitoring.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of effective management of obstetric emergencies.
- Ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of medicines management.
- Communication skills - able to relate and communicate with patients and staff at all levels and from different professions, adapting communication style as needed and working with and through others.
