Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant (ADHD Pathway Support)

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant to support a child on the ADHD pathway. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment, helping the child navigate their educational journey with confidence and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a child with ADHD, tailoring strategies to meet their unique needs.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Help maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Implement behavioural management strategies to enhance the child's focus and engagement.
- Support the child in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices for supporting children with ADHD.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Understanding of ADHD and strategies to support children with the condition.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
