We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Configuration Administrator to support our client's Configuration Management team. Reporting to the Account Lead Configuration Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing software assets and configuration procedures. Your responsibilities will include assisting with software purchases and licenses, providing updates to the central repository, and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Support the everyday workings of the Configuration Management team on behalf of the Account Lead Configuration Manager.
  • Assist with the identification and documentation of software purchases/licenses, working in liaison with the Purchasing team.
  • Provide updates to the central repository for all software licenses in use by the account.
  • Provide accurate management information when requested and in a timely manner.
  • Answer queries and resolve problems referred by the Help Desk.
  • Maintain Software Asset and Configuration Management procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Support the administration of IT Change Enablement, including assisting with agendas, recording decisions/actions/observations, and distributing.
  • Create release and project management baselines for project teams and perform Baseline Verification Audits.
  • Manage third-party software processes, including accepting media into the Media Library, recording changes to Removable Media, and removing retired Removable Media from the library.
  • Ensure File Transfers are completed in a timely fashion and prioritized.
  • Ensure COTS Downloads are completed in a timely fashion and prioritized as necessary.
  • Assist in the delivery of contracted services managed by the Business Support Team and respond to Ad Hoc requests as required.
  • Provide administrative support to enable the production of daily/weekly/monthly reports.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in configuration management or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Proactive and able to take initiative in addressing tasks and challenges.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.
