HR Advisor Position at Prestigious Law Firm

Reed HR are working with a prestigious law firm who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor with a passion for ER to join their dynamic team. As a HR Advisor, role is pivotal in providing comprehensive HR support, fostering effective communication, and ensuring our practices align with the highest standards of legal compliance.

Salary: up to £48,000 per annum

Location: Manchester

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary source of HR advice for line managers, guiding them on policies and practices.
  • Offer coaching to line managers to promote effective communication and objective problem resolution.
  • Partner with line managers to handle employee relations casework, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
  • Keep HR Business Partners informed of casework activities, highlighting potential risks and issues.
  • Proactively identify themes and trends from HR inquiries and operational activities, conduct root cause analysis, and develop solutions.
  • Support HR Business Partners in delivering people projects and managing HR calendar activities.
  • Review and update HR policies and processes, collaborating with specialist areas and the Global Service Center (GSC).
  • Assist HR Business Partners and Senior Advisors with HR administration tasks.
  • Manage HR ServiceNow tasks and cases, delegating to the advisory team as needed.
  • Oversee the HR inbox for the UK, addressing routine queries and directing inquiries to the appropriate team.

Skills, Experience, and Characteristics:

  • Experience working within a Law firm or within the Financial/Professional sector.
  • A foundational understanding of Human Resources Management across all core areas: recruitment, reward, performance management, learning & development, and talent management.
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law with experience in managing cases to conclusion.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
  • A proactive approach, capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A professional qualification (CIPD or equivalent) is highly desirable.
