Our client is a well-travelled and interesting 66-year-old lady who lives in her own home in Carnforth, Lancashire and is looking for Support Workers with experience of acquired brain injuries and/or vascular dementia to join her dedicated care team.
Our client has a wonderfully outgoing personality, is intelligent, chatty, funny (with a particularly dry sense of humour!) and enjoys being in the company of people. She likes nothing more than a good cup of coffee, spending time with her daughters, going out in her wheelchair to take in the fresh air or to hit the road in her adapted van to see a theatre show or attend a concert.
The Role
This role would be ideal for someone who enjoys working with a client to promote their emotional and physical wellbeing and ensure that can live as independently as possible.
The role will include:
- Personal care and moving and handling
- Support with all day-to-day housekeeping activities
- Promotion of our Client's health and wellbeing
- Accompanying our Client out in the community
- Ability to drive an adapted vehicle (candidates must be over the age of 25 in order to drive the adapted vehicle).

- Have a desire to build a loyal and trusting relationship with our Client, our Client's daughters and the rest of the team.
- Be considerate and encouraging of our Client's wishes to remain as independent as possible.
Available Hours
We have the following permanent hours available and work on a two-week rolling rota, however specific days and shift times will be agreed with the successful candidate.
- Day Shift: 9.15am – 4.00pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
- Day Shift 3.45pm – 10.00pm Monday through to Friday and Sunday
- Sleep-In Shift: 9.40pm – 9.30am Monday, Tuesday, Sunday
Rates of Pay
Day Shifts Sleep-In Night Shift
Monday – Friday: £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday: Fixed rate per shift
Saturday & Sunday: £15.00 per hour Saturday & Sunday: Fixed rate per shift
Bank Holidays: 2 x usual hourly rate Bank Holidays: 2 x usual shift rate
