Reed Further Education is a leading recruitment agency collaborating with educational institutions across the UK. We are currently seeking a passionate Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join our team at an FE College in Portsmouth. This role involves supporting students by delivering engaging and well-planned lessons within the Motor Vehicle Department, primarily teaching across levels 2 and 3.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students in the Motor Vehicle Department.
  • Support students to achieve their academic goals and meet the expectations of teaching within the FE sector.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and ensure a dynamic learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance teaching materials and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE, Certificate in Education).
  • Assessors' qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA).
  • Experience interacting with 16-19-year-olds in an educational or apprenticeship setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance.
