Futures have been supporting Digital Transformation projects for the past 25 years, working with some of the UK's most complex and challenging organisations, from central government to local police forces, manufacturing and FMCG giants to local authorities and NHS Trusts. Our client are a manufacturing company in Leeds moving to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for their factories. They are looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to support all of their personnel with queries around digital applications, systems and hardware.

IT Helpdesk Administrator - Key responsibilities - 1st Line, 2nd Line, Helpdesk, Customer Service, D365, Microsoft, Admin, IT

  • Provide 1st Line Support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues
  • Manage Support Tickets – monitor progress, maintain communication with users
  • Ensure a timely response is provided
  • Work within agreed Service Levels and meet company and staff expectations
  • Maintain IT inventory
  • Assist in onboarding new users
  • Contribute to the development of IT support/documentation and training resources

IT Helpdesk Administrator - Key skills - 1st Line, 2nd Line, Helpdesk, Customer Service, D365, Microsoft, Admin, IT

  • Previous 1st line IT Support experience
  • Knowledge of MS Products, Windows operating Systems – Desktop and Server, AD/Exchange, Terminal Server, Group Policy, Anti-Virus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel
  • Experience in telephone support and remote access
  • Microsoft 365 Admin experience
  • Solid understanding of Information Security principles and ISO27001
  • Experience in laptop setups
  • Understanding of LAN, WI-FI, VPNs, lease lines
  • Able to work on own initiative and maintain solid performance under pressure; able to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent organisational skills, focused and the ability to multi task and meet deadlines in an ever changing, fast paced environment
  • Must be a proactive thinker with the ability to identify recommendations and develop ideas to deliver improvements
