Learning Support Assistant - Liverpool - Full Time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a SEND Secondary School in Liverpool. The schools caters to pupils aged 11-19 years old who have severe learning difficulties and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many of the pupils also have a diagnosis of Autism.

Our client school is seeking a full time Learning Support Assistant to support their pupils both within the classroom and in the wider school environment.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Take appropriate measures to ensure every child is safeguarded.
  • Work in collaboration with the class teacher and other support staff.
  • Contribute to recording, monitoring and assessment systems which create a picture of the pupil's developmental progress.
  • Supervision of individual or groups of pupils according to the schools behaviour policy.
  • Be willing to work across a range of age and ability groups within the school.
  • Undertake any professional development offered to you.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • A DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
  • A minimum of 2 references
  • A full employment history
