We are seeking a dedicated Marine Engineer to join our brilliant clients team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of civil engineering works within the marine environment, working alongside a team of skilled engineers and technicians.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and assessment of marine structures.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, providing advice and guidance on engineering matters.
  • Review designs and drawings for compliance with design standards, best practice guidance, contractual obligations, and client expectations.
  • Ensure technical output is consistent and maintains high quality.
  • Comply with Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
  • Understand construction contracts and terms of appointment, and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Develop skills in technical analysis, design software, and AutoCAD.
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings, and carry out site inspections.
  • Manage projects within agreed budgetary limits and timescales.
  • Prepare and issue technical project information, including calculations and drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in marine or civil engineering.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Developing proficiency in relevant technical analysis and design software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
