A leading, global food manufacturer is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the team in Chorley. Along with a salary of £55,000 - £85,000 per annum, you will also receive 27 days holiday and pension contributions.
You will become part of the Systems Development team that performs software development and support functions, using a range of technologies and are responsible for ensuring 24/7 availability of the business systems. Working alongside our existing Development and Support Team, you will help support existing software as well as have the opportunity to develop new software using a number of different technologies and patterns.
As Senior Software Developer, your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the team to understand existing systems
- Analysing business requirements and make implementation plans
- Assisting with systems commissioning
- Developing and testing well written software using the existing team methodologies and tools
- Supporting existing and new business software
- Reporting on work progress
We're looking for a Senior Software Developer with:
- Excellent IT skills
- Graduate of software engineering or similar Degree with extensive commercial experience
- A team worker with good communication skills (verbal and written), able to engage with staff at all levels
- Experience of ASP.NET WebForms
- C# .Net
- Angular JS, javascript, web API's, SQL
- Knowledge of Dev-Ops
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
