Talent Development Partner

In this exciting role, you'll have the opportunity to develop and deliver people development interventions across the talent, learning and D&I agenda and ensure they are strategically aligned to business needs. You'll work with the Group Functions HR team and the Group Talent, Development and D&I team to diagnose needs and co-create creative solutions to support our business meeting its ambitions

  • Working closely with Group Functions business leaders, Business Partners and the Group Talent, Development and D&I team help shape and execute business specific Talent and People Development strategy and plans
  • Translate Group Talent & People Development strategy into Group Functions delivered initiatives that support and compliment local and Group business requirements.
  • Direct, co-ordinate and where required, co-deliver and facilitate the implementation of Group wide and Group Functions specific learning programmes within the business and in conjunction with the Group Functions HR Business Partners.
  • Working with the HR Business Partner team support a focus on the development of Group functions leaders with specific attention supporting teams to be high performing and effective teams.
  • Provide talent, development and D&I advice and guidance to formulate and deliver strategic policies, initiatives and programmes across Group Functions, such as driving succession & the talent agenda.
  • Providing overall talent, development and D&I direction and guidance to the HRDs and HRBPs in Group Functions, developing and executing the business specific requirements with senior business leaders and working with Group Teams to develop fit for purpose interventions aligned to the overall L&G strategy.
  • Working with the Group Functions HR Business Partners, mobilise and proactively drive and execute the Strategic Workforce Planning capability build requirements for all functional areas within Group Functions for all identified talent, learning and development needs in the short, medium and longer term.
  • Where gaps have been identified, deliver learning and training interventions to Group Functions from leadership development to more generic colleague competency and skills-based training with the ability to flex style and approach to suit the different audiences. Take ownership of the end-to-end process from scoping the learning need, creation of the material and delivery of the appropriate intervention.

To be successful in this role you'll need a hands-on approach, with the desire to get involved in design. You'll be working with a variety of senior stakeholders, so your communication skills, confidence, and ability to influence are key, as well your ability to adapt as you work across different business areas. This is role that offers an autonomous working environment, meaning that you'll benefit from being a pro-active, self-starter.

Here's some of the experience that we'd love to see:

  • Evidence of supporting or leading the delivery of a people development agenda across a business with effective means to measure behaviour change and business benefits of people development activity.
  • Evidence of user-led experience design work and varied design methods that suit user needs to embed and sustains behaviour change.
  • Ability to influence, consult and manage key stakeholders and diverse audiences to co-create and shape a compelling people development agenda and interventions that work across business areas, roles and levels and deliver business impact and growth.
  • Understanding of talent, learning, leadership and organisational development methodologies and tools.
  • Experience delivering training, both virtually and in person.
