Moulding Technician

As the moulding Technician you will fully support the moulding production department in all aspects of injection moulding and complete changeovers in a safe, timely manner. Monitor and maintain production performance through process trouble shooting.

  • Machine monitoring for performance and efficiency.
  • Scrap reduction.
  • Process trouble shooting.
  • Production changeovers.
  • Material ordering.
  • Production figure collection.

Your profile

Professional Competencies

  • Hands on experience of injection moulding.
  • 5 years+ experience defining/fault finding injection moulding processes.
  • Detailed understanding of injection moulding machines, moulds, robots and ancillary equipment.

Methodical Competencies

  • Able to analyse faults and correct using a logical approach. Root cause analysis.
  • Able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Leadership Competencies

  • To be able to train and instruct others on work instructions or S.O.P's.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.

Other Competencies

  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated.

Education

  • Essential - Related processing (injection moulding) qualifications
  • Desirable – Recognised Processing Apprenticeship
  • HNC or higher education engineering qualification
