Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are looking to recruit a senior quantity surveyor that has experience with groundworks, drainage, roads and civil engineering. The company is a well established civil engineering firm.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Point of Contact for all Commercial queries, concerns, or actions on a project
- Ensure the company complies fully with its contractual responsibilities.
- Preparation, submission, and agreement of contract tenders, seeing project from inception to completion.
- Preparation, submission, and agreement of monthly applications for payment
- Preparation, submission and agreement of project variations, claims, and design changes
- Preparation of project forecasts and cost plans
- Agree and process subcontractor payments.
- Comply with company and departmental procedures and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports that analyse and demonstrate the profitability and commercial progress of a project.
- Work in collaboration with procurement and site management teams.
Essential Competence and Training:
- Can demonstrate 5 years + in Quantity Surveying of UK residential groundworks projects.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software system
