Facilities Manager

About The Role
The main purpose of the role is to support the service delivery by managing a high-profile client site, to assist the account Manager to deliver sustainable, integrated facilities services whilst driving excellent customer service.

You'll effectively supervise the day-to-day operation of the cleaning, laundry, waste, and engineering team onsite, ensuring that an exceptional end-to-end service is provided as per contract requirements. You will ensure that all cleaning, laundry waste, and engineering tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner. You will also manage the subcontracted services including soft and hard services.

An engineering background would be an advantage but must have knowledge of managing a TFM contract.

You will be working 5 over 7 on a full time basis between 08:00 to 17:00

Duties:

  • To manage and monitor the operation of the Contract in accordance with contract specification and Company Policy.
  • To effectively manage within budgetary constraints
  • Conform to client and company specifications.
  • To continuously develop and improve quality and hygiene standards.
  • To monitor customer trends and demands and challenge culture.
  • To have knowledge of changes in legislation and implement accordingly in accordance with Company guidance.
  • Manage project work with OCS team.
  • Manage the delivery of subcontractor work.
  • To meet client and company expectations, through management of agreed objectives.
  • To respond to any reasonable request of the company or client.
  • To recruit, train, develop and motivate cleaning staff.
  • To ensure that adequate products, equipment, and materials are available to the Contract standard.
  • To ensure that products, equipment, and materials are properly stored, used, maintained, and controlled and purchased in accordance with OCS procedures.
  • To apply quality control procedures to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service and compliance with the specification.
  • To manage the day-to-day delivery of Hard & Soft FM Services in line with contract.
  • To manage all aspects of the Contract Performance Mechanism & associated KPI's via CAFM.

Educational Level

  • Educated to Higher education, college or degree level. Professional Qualifications required for the job-(particularly for compliance purposes or technical requirements of the role)
  • IOSH Managing Safely. Experience -previous experience -desirable/essential for technical competence of the role
  • Management experience across a range of service disciplines, with a bias toward soft and hard services.
  • Experience of line managing a team.
  • IT Skills including Microsoft, SAP and CAFM software platforms.
  • Awareness of legislation relating to building compliance
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft, SAP, CAFM, platforms)

  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly, occasionally at weekends or evenings depending on the business needs
