The position involves supporting the Facilities Manager in maintaining an efficient site and facilities management operation. The primary aim is to ensure a secure, hygienic, and compliant environment for all individuals, including students, staff, and other occupants of the premises and surrounding areas.

Ideal candidates may possess experience working in educational environments, coupled with proficient skills in facility maintenance and effective communication with team members and students. Your responsibilities will encompass collaborating closely with the Facilities Manager to facilitate facilities management, carrying out minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring the seamless daily operations of our institution.
Responsibilities:
Security and Safety
- Secure premises and respond to emergencies
- Ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access
- Maintain security systems and handle deliveries securely
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Oversee cleaning contractors and maintain cleanliness
- Maintain assets, equipment, and grounds
- Conduct minor repairs and report major repairs
Heating and Energy Efficiency
- Operate heating systems and maintain equipment
- Ensure energy efficiency and prevent frost damage
Fire Precautions
- Keep fire exits clear and maintain fire equipment
- Support fire drills and inspect alarm systems
Porterage and Supplies
- Receive and distribute supplies
- Move furniture and equipment
Health & Safety
- Conduct monthly safety checks
- Attend team briefings and training
Lettings (if applicable)
- Prepare premises for lettings
- Support school events and secure premises as needed
