Summary
A dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator is needed to assist and support the sales team on a daily basis. This role serves as the first point of contact for both new and existing customers, maintaining and developing the customer database and creating customer appointments on behalf of the team. The Sales Coordinator will also pass on leads and respond to customer inquiries and queries
The Candidate:-
- A background within the logistics or freight forwarding sector would be highly desirable
- Ability to discuss and negotiate complex issues clearly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and develop loyalty among the customer base.
- High degree of initiative and self-sufficiency.
- Commercial awareness and good numeracy skills.
- Excellent administration skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages is desirable.
- Ability to delegate and track tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
- Control new credit applications, liaising with Credit Control and other departments to ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Make sales appointments via telephone for the UK Sales Team.
- Conduct limited telesales, following up on leads generated by the Sales Teams.
- Utilize available tools to secure new business across the entire product range.
- Resolve any customer service issues, liaising with the customer services team when necessary.
- Produce reports and support statistics as required.
- Maintain the customer database and mailing list, including issuing web passwords and monitoring usage.
- Assist with various marketing projects as needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.
