Europe's largest Rolling Stock Producer, maintainer and servicing organisation is looking for Mechanical Experienced Engineers to join a well established team at a busy rail depot in the Midlands
Position Summary:
General engine serving duties, including oil, fuel fitters and hydro static oil to laid down Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI)
Operation on Engine and underframe/engine cleaning plant to ensure that trains are cleaned to a standard to allow Maintenance staff to carry out their duties and ensure train safety
Daily servicing requirement including oil and coolant replenishment on the AXC Voyager 22X fleet.
This position is based on a busy maintenance depot and all applicants would be expected to complete the following:
- Work from written instruction (VMI).
- Work from Mechanical Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements.
- Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings.
- Routine fleet checks ensuring that the Fleet are operated safely.
- Oil & Filter changes.
- Supporting the Maintenance Assistants with routine maintenance.
- Refuelling

- Able to work from and interpret written work instruction closely.
- Able to carry out physical aspects as well as the more intricate aspects of the role.
- Flexible and committed team member that works well as part of team.
- Accurate and efficient worker.
- Attention to details.
- Some basic Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
Candidates from the following background will be considered:
- RAF, REME, Army, Navy
- Plant Maintenance

Ideal applicants would have had some heavy maintenance experience and previously worked shifts. Ideally would also have a NVQ level 2 in Engineering, although this is not essential.
