Job Opportunity: Clinical Teaching Assistant in Hitchin

We are collaborating with outstanding SEN schools in Hitchin and the surrounding areas that cater to children with a range of educational and social needs. These schools are seeking a dedicated SEMH Assistant who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential through excellent teaching and support.

Location: Hitchin

Sector: Education and Training

Start Date: October

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM

Pay: £460 - £500 per week

Training: Full training provided

Career Path: Ideal for aspiring Clinical Psychologists or Youth/Criminal Justice Officers

Key Responsibilities of a Clinical Teachiong Assistant:

  • Work closely with the clinical team to support students' social and emotional development.
  • Assist with teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
  • Provide personal care for pupils when needed.
  • Use initiative to enhance students' learning experiences and engagement.

Requirements for a Clinical Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children and/or young people (desirable, but not essential).
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and energetic personality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, alongside teaching and support staff.
  • A passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A degree in Psychology or Criminology.
  • Ideally located near Hitchin.
