Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

The Trading and Client Controls (TaCC) team sits within Deutsche Bank's GSA. GSA has a cross-business and cross-functional approach to solving complex quantitative tasks. The TaCC team has a global remit, across Investment and Corporate Banks, to develop bespoke anomaly detection models.

You will be responsible for the core design implementation of the internal and external fraud controls as well as being responsible for enhancing the quality, code structure, and automation of our quantitative codebase. Your role will be crucial in making our code more robust, efficient, and compliant with industry best practices.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identify areas in the existing codebase that require improvement and optimisation
  • Develop and enforce coding guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability
  • Automate manual tasks and streamline the development and deployment of quantitative models
  • Conduct regular code reviews to identify and rectify issues, ensuring compliance with established standards
  • Implement robust testing procedures to verify the correctness and reliability of code and model logics
  • Rationalise platforms and processes to provide business intelligence reports

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in quantitative evaluation and financial modelling
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
  • Coding experience in Python, experience with PySpark is preferred. Experience with very large datasets, Google cloud experience is beneficial

roven experience in code refactoring, optimisation, and standardisation within a large code base

xperience in putting in place testing and validation frameworks, including unit tests, and recalibration processes

  • Strong documentation skills to create clear and comprehensive code documentation
