Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a heart for purpose-led work? Do you get as much satisfaction from developing people as you do from reconciling numbers? If so, this could be your next meaningful move.
Four Talent are proud to be partnering with a long-standing, community-focused financial organisation based in Moulton Park, Northampton. As a not-for-profit financial services provider, their mission is all about making money management fairer, more transparent, and more human — and they're looking for someone who shares that ethos to join their team as Accounts & Performance Manager.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing daily financial operations - including bank reconciliations, payroll, and transactional processing.
- Managing and supporting a small finance team - providing clear objectives, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal requirements - including reporting, audits, and internal controls.
- Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes - delivering accurate, timely management information.
- Supporting budget planning and performance - including variance analysis and cost-effectiveness initiatives.
- Collaborating with colleagues at all levels to improve systems, streamline workflows, and enhance service delivery.
What we're looking for:
- A recognised finance qualification - minimum AAT Level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience working in a finance role with responsibility for controls, reporting, and compliance.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Experience in leading or supervising others, including coaching, delegation, and performance conversations.
- Confident communication skills - able to explain financial concepts clearly to colleagues from different backgrounds.
- A proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), with a willingness to learn new systems.
Experience working within a regulated financial environment is helpful but not essential - we welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and transferable skills.
What's in it for you?
As well as a competitive salary and flexible working options, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team that values trust, respect, and inclusion. You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, contribute to meaningful change, and play a key role in a growing organisation that's focused on people over profit.
Note - as this is a financially regulated environment, should your application reach interview stage, the personal information collected from you will be shared with Cifas who will use it to prevent fraud, other unlawful or dishonest conduct, malpractice, and other seriously improper conduct. If any of these are detected, you could be refused certain services or employment.
