Working Pattern -
This role can be worked remotely with regular travel expected to either our Vitality Bournemouth, Stockport or London Offices. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
Underwriters evaluate risk factors to determine risk acceptance and/or the appropriate price offered, so that Vitality writes and retains business in line with its risk appetite.
As an Underwriter, you will work mostly independently, with minimal guidance. You will use existing processes to solve routine or standard problems. You will work across several teams, mostly at your own level and may act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Key Actions

share ideas and collaborate with colleagues to ensure best practise. They may be working towards additional role-relevant accreditation / certification, as agreed with their manager.
What do you need to thrive?
- Experienced underwriter with in-depth medical and financial knowledge in respect of Life cover, Serious Illness and Income Protection products.
- Good working knowledge of reinsurance & regulatory procedures/requirements within the industry.
