Team Support Administrator

£24,000 to £27,000

An opportunity has arisen for a sharp and energetic individual to support the Design and Marketing Directors and their teams at a market leading manufacturing. The successful candidate will be determined, energetic, a highly efficient administrator with proven organisational skills and will need to demonstrate that they have the confidence to communicate across all levels of the organisation, as well as with clients and suppliers.

It is not necessary for the individual to come from a creative background or have an understanding of the design process, but it is critical that they have the ability to cope with a varied workload in an environment that demands the regular reprioritisation of tasks. We need somebody energetic, flexible and proactive with an appetite to learn new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising purchase orders for prototype components and marketing collateral.
  • Tracking purchase orders and chasing suppliers for deliveries.
  • Gathering costs from suppliers.
  • Requisitioning components from warehouse stock for use in R&D projects.
  • Maintaining the worklist for the R&D team; ensuring that they have what they need to manufacture the items required against the dates they are due.
  • Keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and ensuring that they have all of the drawings/models/photographs that they require.
  • Organising products for structural and ergonomic testing at the various test houses in the UK and North America. Tracking their progress and communicating results throughout the business.
  • Issue delivery/collection notes for prototypes and ensure that deliveries/collections are made on time.
  • Maintain the ISO-required paperwork and take the lead in ensuring the Design Department's ongoing compliance and improvement.
  • Report any supplier non-compliances to the Design Director and Procurement Manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Design Director and wider design team to ensure that new products are delivered to market as quickly and successfully as possible. This includes:
  • Researching emerging trends and competitors' products, with the aim of establishing new product specifications, features, benefits, price points and presentation styles for approval.
  • Create mood boards to support new product development briefs.
  • Keeping project plans and project files up to date, ensuring that project deliverables are met in time for progress meetings.
  • Co-ordinate and update the technical documentation for sales training prior to new product launches.

Hours of work are 37.5 per week and 25 days A/L plus Bank Holidays.
