We are delighted to be assisting our legal based client as they seek to recruit an accounts assistant with experience of working in the legal / law sector to join their experienced and friendly team at their modern offices in Haywards Heath. This role is available due to continued expansion within the department and organisation.
Accounts Assistant - with law / legal company experience
Full time permanent role - office based
Mon-Fri office hours
Role based in Haywards Heath. A short walk from the station area
Salary £30000-£32000 per annum, depending on experience plus excellent all round company benefits, including private healthcare, 22 days holiday (plus all UK bank holidays), which rises with length of service, Christmas bonus.
The role - Accounts Assistant (Legal)
Invoicing
Receiving, checking and paying consultant invoices
Paying supplier invoices through the portal
Setting up CTO Transfers
Assigning funds received to matters in the portal
Operating the case management system
Liaising with and supporting the consultant solicitors
Liaising with and supporting the retained team
Dealing with client queries
Managing outstanding debts
Keeping records up to date and comply with Accounts rules and VAT regulations
Stay aware of new rules and regulations
Following the file closing process to ensure client files are dealt with correctly
