Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant for a temporary role based in Alton. This post is set to start in September and a permanent position for the right candidate.
The school is based in the lovely area of Alton in Hampshire, and aim to provide a nourishing and inclusive learning environment for pupils, where every child is happily engaged with the creative and innovative teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum. As the Learning Support Assistant, you will be working with both Key Stage One and Two pupils and carrying out a variety of roles, from supporting pupils individually and within small groups, to working with the class teacher to support within the class. You will have a passion for working with children and helping them improve in all aspects of their learning journeys. You will be flexible, energetic and resilient, as well as fully committed to working with all children including those who have a higher level of needs for support. You will be a team player who will use their initiative to bring out the best in children, and be fully supportive of both pupils and teaching staff.
For this role, you will need/be:
- Previous experience of working or volunteering in a school or nursery setting
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Support Teaching and Learning in Schools (desired)
- English and Maths GCSE Grade C and above

The salary for this role is currently set between £12.82 to £13.50 per hour, and will be five days per week (08:30am to 15:30pm).
