The Role:

As a Full-Time Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and assisting with the day-to-day running of the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of engaging and interactive lessons and learning activities.
  • Supporting students with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and academic success of each child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
