Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Our client is seeking dedicated Homeless Prevention Officers to join their dynamic Housing Advice Team. This is a 12-month placement, offering a rewarding opportunity to support those in need and prevent homelessness within our communities.

**Must have good knowledge of homelessness legislation and evidence of actioning it.**

Your Responsibilities ??

?? Preventing Homelessness: Utilise a diverse range of tools to prevent households from experiencing homelessness, ensuring their stability and housing security.

?? Customer Support: Offer housing-related advice to a wide range of customers, conducting client assessments, and interviews.

?? Problem-Solving: Employ your excellent judgement and problem-solving skills to navigate challenging situations, finding effective solutions for customers.

?? Effective Communication: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, producing accurate case notes, PHPs, and letters.

?? Allocations Expertise: Leverage your knowledge and experience of allocations processes to optimise housing arrangements.

?? Collaborative Projects: Contribute to specific projects aimed at reducing Temporary Accommodation, Allocations, and rough sleeping.

Your Essential Qualifications and Skills ??

?? Experience: Demonstrated experience of working with vulnerable individuals and conducting client assessments.

?? Allocating Solutions: Proficiency in utilising Allocations and Homelessness software.

?? Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to influence, negotiate, and manage conflicts, proactively finding solutions to various homelessness scenarios.

?? Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present accurate information and devise Personal Housing Plans.

?? Relevant Knowledge: Familiarity with the Housing Act 1996, the Homelessness Act 2002, the Localism Act 2011, and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

?? Qualifications: A minimum of 3 GCSEs, including English and Math, along with a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a housing-related field.
