Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant French Speaking
Location: Blackburn (Permanent)
Salary: Up to £25,000 plus 5% bonus
I am currently partnered with a global organisation that is a market leader within their field. To support the continued growth of the business, they are recruiting for a French-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves managing accounts payable processes for French-speaking clients, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the end-to-end payment process and investigate any discrepancies.
- Import daily payment processing reports onto SAP.
- Communicate and document discrepancy and forgery reports.
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes, and allocate payments to supplier accounts.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and card General Ledgers (GLs), writing off within a certain threshold and investigating items outside that threshold.
- Post ad hoc journals as needed.
- Monitor, escalate, and resolve issues with missing payments.
- Upload fuel and shop expenses and investigate any variances.
- Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Conduct expense reconciliations.
- Handle general administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.
Candidate Profile:
- Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
