An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an independent construction consultancy, specialising in CDM Services, Project Management, and Building Surveying. The company is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Principal Designer to join their dynamic team in Scotland.

As a Senior Principal Designer, you will be instrumental in managing and delivering CDM responsibilities across a range of high-profile projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

This role offers a highly flexible, hybrid working structure, tailored to each employee's needs, allowing you to balance office and remote work effectively.

The Senior Principal Designer Role

  • Leading and managing the Principal Designer function across multiple construction projects.
  • Providing CDM consultancy services, including preparation of pre-construction information and reviewing construction phase plans.
  • Attending design team meetings to advise on health and safety matters.
  • Managing design risk and ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Developing strong client relationships, offering expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Principal Designer

  • Proven experience as a Principal Designer within a consultancy environment.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • Membership of APS or IOSH (or working towards).
  • Strong understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
