**Location: Scunthorpe

Job Type: 40 hours, temp-to-perm or straight perm

Salary: Competitive

I am currently working alongside a nursery in Scunthorpe to seek a dedicated Baby Room Leader to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children aged 0 - 2 years and will possess the expertise to take charge and make an immediate impact. Ideally, the candidate will be qualified to at least Level 3 and will have experience of leading a team.

Day-to-Day of the role:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for the children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Lead and mentor nursery staff within the room, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's development and care routines.
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and nursery policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be Level 3 qualified in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead by example.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
