We are working with a successful Manufacturing company in the Peak District who are seeking a new HR Manager to lead their passionate and dedicated team. Our client, a dynamic client, is looking for a HR Manager on an initial interim contract basis with a view to being made Permanent to lead their HR function. As part of a close-knit team of two, you'll be managing a HR Administrator and taking ownership for the full set up of a new HR function. This means leading on implementing implementing best practises, new processes and strategy and working with line managers, board members and adopting a hands-on approach in all that you do. It's an opportunity to showcase your HR expertise, solid knowledge of UK legislation is essential, and experience in Manufacturing would be beneficial. In this role, you'll have the chance to work closely with stakeholders while driving a pro-active and effective HR service to the organisation and its passionate workforce.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing the HR Administator, ensuring effectiveness and development needs are met
  • Being a trusted business partner to owners and directors
  • Providing a HR 'help desk' for managers, guiding them on employee relations matters
  • Overseeing ER issues and ensuring appropriate management involvement
  • Reviewing and drafting HR policies and related documentation
  • Managing recruitment for the group
  • Designing and delivering management coaching and training sessions
  • Acting as Head of H&S, maintaining compliance and standards
  • Managing company benefits

Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law and legislation
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 Qualification
  • Proven experience in implementation of HR process and strategy
  • Manufacturing experience is highly advantageous
  • Proficient in leading teams and coaching stakeholders on HR best practises
  • Ability to influence at all levels
