Field Services Manager

Our client, an established water meter services provider is looking for a Field Services Manager to join their growing team. As the Field Services Manager, you will provide day-to-day operational guidance for 15-20 Field Water Meter Technicians across the UK, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently. You will ensure work is aligned to client and company expectations as well as meeting the highest customer service and quality standards. To be successful, you must have previously managed 10 + Field Technicians, organising their schedules and guiding them to ensure the smooth running of projects. Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day resourcing and be responsible for longer-term planning
  • Ensuring appropriate resourcing and capacity availability for future new projects
  • Ensure team comply with H&S best practice, client expectations, company policies and quality
  • Monitor overall field performance, identifying any areas of underperformance and taking action
  • Work with Quality Coach & Client Services Manager to ensure team are trained in line with contract
  • Control recruitment and resourcing activity within the team
  • Setting and managing individual and team performance.
  • Ensure that contract operates profitably and continually seek improvements and cost savings.

Skills and experience required:

  • 2 years people / field management experience within a similar role
  • Management experience in utility contracting or facility management or repair services
  • Understanding of health & safety and quality management.
  • High degree of commercial / strategic awareness.
  • Good appreciation of statutory obligations H&S law, employment law, etc.
  • Articulate with high level negotiation skills.
