Job Title: SC Cleared Azure & AWS Platform Engineer

Location: Mostly Remote

Contract Length: 6 months (possible extension)

Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35)

Start Date: November 2024

We are looking for an experienced Azure & AWS Platform Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on both Microsoft Azure and AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in secure environments and knowledge of the Defence Domain or Central Government is highly desirable.

You'll work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that cloud solutions align with business requirements and best practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS.
  • Implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud systems using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.
  • Automate cloud operations and optimise cost, performance, and scalability.
  • Ensure security compliance with Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub, and implement RBAC and IAM.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot issues in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources using Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of networking in Azure and AWS (VNETs, VPCs, VPNs, etc.).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Azure and AWS platform engineering.
  • Preferred: Certifications in Azure or AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect), and experience with cloud migrations.
